2013 DULCIMERVILLE CLASSES
Register now and save your spot in DULCIMERVILLE!
For the mornings you select one of our carefully-planned 13-1/4 hour Mountain Dulcimer Playing & Repertoire Course. These are a wonderful way to make progress in your playing and musical knowledge! Then to personalize your week more you select 2-hour Elective Classes for Tues., Wed. and Fri. afternoons and Thurs. evening.
To the left of this page you will see lines to click for MORNING COURSES and ELECTIVE CLASSES. You'll find good descriptions to help you make your choices.
Participants should provide their own mountain dulcimers, but we have a few free “loaners” if you are a beginner and do not yet own a mountain dulcimer. There are also other options to rent one. It is suggested that students bring along a small audio recorder to be used, at the instructor’s discretion, to record music taught in class as a memory aid for future practice.
If your interest is in studying with as many of our staff as you can, you’ll be pleased to learn that between the morning courses and the electives and mini-courses, you can choose to study with as many as six of them, and interaction with more of the staff is available through our staff-led jam sessions.
MATERIALS FEES: Your instructors will be teaching many techniques and pieces of music. There will be minimal fees totaling only about $10 for your music hand-outs for the week. These are paid to your instructors:
. For your 13¼ -hour morning course the materials fee is $5 for 5 days of hand-outs.
. Each 2-hour Elective class will have a $1 charge for hand-outs.
This is a less wasteful way to have appropriate numbers of hand-outs. You may pay by cash or check made out to the instructor. Please have your payment ready at the start of the class.
